  1. Your posts often express your heartfelt intensity about life, but this one is especially touching. I’m going through family changes right now–and they are all good–but I’m still not handling it well. I suppose change has that effect. It’s comforting for me to see how you’re not fighting the changes but embracing them. Taking up the torch is a big responsibility and one that isn’t always noticed or appreciated when the shift begins.

I’m praying for you. When roles change, and it’s time for the ones we depend on to depend on us, there’s a gradual shifting of that dependency over to God. He can bring into your life the hand that will comfort yours. He can bring into your life the beautiful eyes that pool with tears of shared concern. Lately, I find myself saying, “He is the Sustainer,” because I feel very fragile. I hope your reflections will help you grow gracefully into your new role.

    • Thank you so much for the kind words. Yes, I have already given it over to Him. Couldn’t do it without Him. And, like I said I see many miles up ahead. I will keep you also in my prayers. It’s a comforting feeling to know that I’m not in this alone. Actually, everyone you meet is going through something. Isn’t that a quote somewhere? Stay strong with His help.!end
